Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz told dailytimes.com.pk that Israel does not intend to launch an attack on Iran before the parliamentary election on Oct. 27, 2026. He added that Israel would respond with full force if Iran initiated hostilities.
Katz also rejected a Channel 12 report suggesting a rift between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and military chief Eyal Zamir over possible Iranian operations. He called the alleged disagreement false and said political leaders and the armed forces remain fully coordinated.
The remarks came after Netanyahu’s recent video warning Iran against election interference and his claim that Mossad and the military were instructed to take steps toward toppling Iran’s government.
