Iranian Guard urges US defeat, US feedback on cease‑fire plan reported

Iran's IRGC spokesman says war ends only if the United States admits defeat, while US officials have reportedly responded to Tehran's cease‑fire proposal.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesperson Gen. Hossein Mohebci told CBS News on Tuesday that the war with the United States will end only if Washington admits defeat, and the IRGC has published a letter urging Americans to protest President Trump.

According to the same report, Iran's foreign minister Abbas Araghchi received feedback from the United States on a proposed seven‑day cease‑fire plan that would lift the naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and reopen the waterway.

U.S. feedback was conveyed through an official quoted by Reuters, and Tehran is expected to discuss the response on Wednesday.

Maj. Gen. Mohsen Rezaei, head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said President Trump is "trapped in a quagmire" and unable to decide between further fighting or negotiations.

Pakistan's defence minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said Pakistan would use "whatever means are available" to defend Saudi Arabia against Iran‑backed Houthi rebels, hinting at possible direct involvement in the widening conflict.
