Mark Cain, 45, was charged with murdering his wife, Dr Hannah Cain, a GP who also ran a cosmetics business, after her body was found at their home in Fern Hill, Dersingham, near the Sandringham Estate on the early hours of Oct. 4, according to standard.co.uk.
What happened
Emergency services were called after an ambulance crew discovered Dr Cain unconscious in an upstairs bedroom. A post‑mortem recorded blunt‑force head injuries and neck compression injuries. Prosecutor Steven Ball said the alleged killing occurred on Oct. 3 into the early hours of Oct. 4 while the couple’s three children (aged 8, 11 and 13) were upstairs and two other children (aged 8 and 10) were staying over.

Prosecutor Ball told the court the victim was found “unconscious and unresponsive”. The judge, Mr Justice Lickley, remanded Cain in custody until a plea hearing scheduled for Dec. 3 at Norwich Crown Court.
