Gamma Studios announced the opening of a Digital Media Center in Dubai Production City on Oct. 2, 2026, in partnership with Sony Middle East and Africa. The facility is designed for filmmakers, directors and cinematographers to test virtual‑production workflows from planning through shooting.
The centre showcases Sony’s 360 Solution for Virtual Production, anchored by a VERONA LED wall that the outlet describes as the largest of its kind worldwide and the first 1.5 mm‑pitch VERONA display in the Middle East. Dedicated zones allow users to explore Sony’s VENICE 2 and BURANO cameras, the OCELLUS tracking system, a Virtual Production Tool Set and FR7 equipment.
"Our objective was to invest in the best for our facility, and after evaluating the market, Sony's virtual production solution stood out for its technology and its complete end‑to‑end workflow," said Joseph Kadamani, founder of Gamma Studios, Gulf News reported. Jobin Joejoe, managing director of Sony Middle East and Africa, added that the centre expands possibilities for the regional production community and supports the next generation of filmmakers.
The centre also houses Sony’s training facility and a service centre for quality‑control support, aiming to boost the UAE’s creative economy in line with national media‑hub ambitions.
