Advantage Learn has opened its maths learning app to Grade 8‑12 students at no cost from 1 Sept to 31 Oct 2026 as part of its Quest For Your Best competition, according to bizcommunity.com.
What happened
The free‑access period coincides with year‑end examinations. The app provides lessons, quizzes and assignments that can be used offline, aiming to reduce barriers such as data costs and connectivity.
What the reports add
Bizcommunity notes that past participants have lifted exam scores by 15‑20 %. Two R10 000 cash prizes, sponsored by PPS Insurance, are awarded to winners.
What was said
James Lees, CEO of Advantage Learn, said, "A learner’s access to maths support can be shaped by a learner’s circumstances, from the cost of additional resources to data and reliable connectivity," and added that the technology lets learners "stop, revisit a concept, practise it, and try again".
How it came about
The initiative follows Advantage Learn’s broader effort to improve exam outcomes by offering high‑quality, low‑cost support, echoing earlier free‑learning programmes reported by Felo News.
