Emirates confirmed that flight EK31, an Airbus A380‑800 departing Dubai for London Heathrow, diverted to Frankfurt Airport on 1 October after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.

According to the airline’s post on X, the aircraft was cruising at about 40,000 feet when the crew transmitted the general‑emergency squawk 7700, then descended and landed safely in Frankfurt. Cabin crew assisted the passenger and medical support was arranged on arrival.

Emirates said the aircraft would depart Frankfurt for London around 6 pm local time and apologized to customers for the delay, emphasizing that passenger health and safety remain the highest priority.
