Dubai opened its 10th edition of the UniExpo on 29 September, bringing more than 35 universities and institutions from the UAE, UK, US, Canada, India, Australia and Europe to a two‑day event at the Millennium Plaza Downtown Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road. The expo, aimed at students and parents, allows attendees to meet university representatives, admissions specialists and career guidance professionals to discuss programmes ranging from artificial intelligence and data science to medicine, aviation engineering, business, finance, media and design.
In a launch ceremony, Khaleej Times’ Chief Content Officer Ted Kemp and Abdallah Muhana, Senior Vice President and Head of Education Solutions at RAKBANK, welcomed participants. Kemp highlighted the UAE’s growing role as a hub for international students and noted the two‑way movement of students, ideas and opportunities between the UAE and abroad. Muhana spoke about the importance of financial and support services, citing the bank’s Skiply ecosystem that connects parents, students and universities.
