Dubai gold prices hold steady near Dh500 as US Treasury yields rise
24‑karat gold hovered at Dh501.25 per gram as high US Treasury yields dampened buyer enthusiasm.

Dubai's 24‑karat gold price was nearly unchanged on Wednesday, trading at Dh501.25 per gram, according to Gulf News. The price stability came as US Treasury yields rose to their highest level since 2002, prompting traders to stay cautious.
Other gold grades in the UAE also showed little movement: 22‑karat gold at Dh464.25, 18‑karat at Dh381.50, and 14‑karat slipping below Dh300 to Dh297.50 per gram. Spot gold in Dubai edged up 0.54% to $4,170.40 an ounce, while silver rose 0.1% to $61.54 an ounce.
Analysts noted that lower oil prices eased inflation concerns, but the continued strength of US Treasury yields—especially the longest‑dated bond—kept investors wary because bullion offers no interest. The Federal Reserve’s recent rate hike and upcoming US economic data, including personal consumption expenditures and non‑farm payrolls, were highlighted as key drivers for the market outlook.
