Grammy‑nominated Dallas String Quartet has issued an instrumental symphonic‑rock cover of the Pokémon Theme to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, gonintendo.com reported.
Founder Ion Zanca explained that the group wanted to “honor that legacy while giving the song a fresh instrumental voice,” adding that the arrangement blends violins, viola, cello and bass with the quartet’s crossover style.
To debut the recording, the quartet will perform live at Card Party Dallas, the Dallas stop of the trading‑card hobby’s three‑city 2026 event series.
DSQ’s past releases include the 2024 album ROMANI: The Untold Story, which topped Billboard’s Classical Albums chart, and the 2022 album Love Always, which reached No. 2 on both the Classical Crossover and Classical Albums charts. The ensemble has previously performed for Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush.
