Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ owner seeks restraining order against My Chemical Romance

Pro Silver Star Ltd. asks a Texas court to bar My Chemical Romance from using Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders‑style outfits after a staged shoot‑out at the Hollywood Bowl.

Pro Silver Star Ltd., the parent of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, filed a motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction on Friday in Dallas County district court, seeking to prohibit My Chemical Romance from using costumes that resemble the squad’s white‑and‑blue uniforms.

The band performed Wednesday at the Hollywood Bowl with dancers in outfits that the filing says were "nearly identical" to the cheerleaders’ uniforms and featured staged firearms that appeared to be shot. The filing notes that audience members and online commentators mistook the performers for the real Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

Pro Silver Star stressed it does not object to the band’s music or artistic intent, but asks that the specific cheerleader uniforms not be used in future shows. Representatives for both parties did not immediately respond to comment requests.
