Los Angeles Chargers elevated tight end Patrick Herbert and outside linebacker Caleb Murphy from the practice squad for Sunday’s game at Seattle, the Associated Press reported.
Herbert, the younger brother of quarterback Justin Herbert, joined the practice squad in September after a rookie season with the Jacksonville Jaguars and three college seasons at Oregon, where he recorded 31 catches for 388 yards and four touchdowns. He made his NFL debut last week in a loss to Buffalo.
Murphy, an undrafted free agent from Ferris State who signed with the Titans in 2023, has appeared in 20 career games with the Titans, Chargers and Patriots, posting nine tackles and ten special‑teams tackles. He was also elevated for the previous week’s game against Buffalo.
