The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Los Angeles Rams 18-16 on Sunday at SoFi Stadium, ending the Rams' early‑season surge as Super Bowl favorites. The win sparked a resurgence of a preseason remark by Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson, who told reporters before the season, “They've got to deal with us.” Wilson’s comment was highlighted by Bleacher Report after the upset.

The Rams entered the game on a four‑game losing streak and fell to 2-4, slipping to last place in the NFC West. Their schedule now includes a matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders next week. The Cardinals, meanwhile, capitalised on a late field goal by Chad Ryland to seal the victory.
