Capital B, a France‑listed Bitcoin treasury company, announced a net loss of €69.5 million ($78 million) for the first half of 2026, driven by a Bitcoin impairment charge of $75.8 million, according to its H1 report published Thursday.
Despite the loss, consolidated revenue rose 3.5% year‑over‑year to $6.5 million and adjusted EBITDA was negative $1.2 million. The impairment reflects Bitcoin prices as of 30 June and had no direct cash impact.
The firm raised $30 million in capital during the period and increased its Bitcoin holdings by 11%, from 2,823 BTC in January to 3,139 BTC at the end of June, reaching 3,538 BTC by 30 September – a 25% increase from the start of the year. Its treasury, now valued at $290 million, ranks as the world’s 25th‑largest corporate Bitcoin treasury and Europe’s second‑largest.
Capital B’s shares edged up 0.5% in early Friday trading but remain down 25% year‑to‑date, and the company approved a 10‑for‑1 reverse stock split in July to broaden its institutional investor base.
