Channel 5 chief content officer Ben Frow will relinquish his day‑to‑day duties next summer and exit the company at the end of 2027, an internal memo from network president Reemah Sakaan said.

Frow, who has been with the Skydance‑owned channel for 14 years, is quoted in the memo as saying the role has been “the best job in the world” and that the timing feels right to hand over to a new leader. Sakaan praised his “exceptional creative skills, obsession with our audience and fiery competitive spirit” and listed flagship programmes he oversaw, including “The Yorkshire Vet,” “All Creatures Great and Small,” and “Power: The Downfall of Huw Edwards.”

The memo noted the network will begin a search for a new creative head, while Frow will remain available to support a smooth transition. The announcement follows a recent £24.5 million drop in Channel 5’s profits year‑on‑year.
