84‑year‑old pop legend Art Garfunkel has postponed his four‑city UK leg of the "What a Wonderful World" tour, originally set for Oct. 13‑19, after being diagnosed with a respiratory infection, Billboard reported.

The shows were to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Watford Colosseum, continue on Thursday, Oct. 15 at Manchester’s Opera House, Saturday, Oct. 17 at the University of Wolverhampton Civic Hall, and conclude on Monday, Oct. 19 at London’s Royal Albert Hall. No new dates have been announced.

In a statement quoted by Billboard, Garfunkel explained that during rehearsals he nearly missed a medical appointment, but his wife Kim urged him to see a doctor. "I have been diagnosed with a respiratory infection, and my doctor has advised me to take some time to rest and recover," he said.

He added that he is heart‑broken to postpone the performances, calling the audience’s love a "gift beyond words" and promising to return to the stage "as soon as my health allows." Garfunkel also reassured fans that he is in "good hands" and expects to be fine.

The next scheduled concert on the tour is at L’Olympia in Paris on Oct. 21.
