Apple has confirmed a special “Welcome Home” product launch event for Tuesday, Oct 13, according to 9to5Mac and Mashable.

What happened

The company announced the event but has not added it to the Apple Events page, nor listed a livestream on YouTube or the Apple TV app. The schedule suggests a focus on smart‑home products, with rumors of a new countertop HomeHub speaker, updated HomePod mini, and a refreshed Apple TV 4K box.

What the reports add

9to5Mac notes that Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman says an “online video presentation” is expected, citing his reporting on a later Oct 27 launch. Mashable lists a detailed rundown of rumored devices, including a HomeHub with a screen and HomePod mini upgrades, but does not mention a livestream.

What was said

Mark Gurman, quoted by 9to5Mac, said an online video presentation is coming for the Oct 13 event. No Apple spokesperson was quoted in either source.

How it came about

Apple’s approach follows earlier product launches this year, such as the in‑person MacBook Neo press experience in March. The company’s recent partnership with LG on smart‑home accessories (Apple‑LG partnership) and development of low‑resolution home security sensors (home security sensors) indicate a broader push into the smart‑home market ahead of the event.
