Palnadu and Kadapa each reported three incidents, while Anantapur and Nellore reported two each. Tirupati, Kurnool, Annamayya and Markapuram each reported one incident.
The police intervened promptly, deploying additional forces at sensitive nomination centres and villages, and provided protection and escorts to candidates in coordination with district administrations and election authorities.
Gupta warned that no political leader, party or group would be allowed to obstruct candidates, intimidate voters or interfere with the lawful election process, and directed officers to supervise election security and respond immediately to complaints.
