U.S. officials said businessman Alvaro Pulido was taken into custody on Tuesday following a multi‑agency investigation, according to a CBS News report citing Homeland Security Task Force spokesperson Nicole Navas Oxman.

Pulido, a Colombian‑born entrepreneur, has been under indictment in Miami federal court since 2019 and again in 2021 as part of a probe linked to his former partner Alex Saab, a former ally of ousted Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. The DEA, FBI and Homeland Security Investigations led the operation, and the State Department had offered a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to his arrest.

Oxman did not disclose how Pulido was apprehended but confirmed he will make his initial court appearance on Tuesday in Miami. Venezuelan authorities have not commented, while acting President Delcy Rodríguez faces pressure from factions opposed to U.S. efforts to detain Venezuelan insiders.
