Lahore High Court directs Punjab home secretary to rule on Aleema Khan’s jail requests

The Lahore High Court on Wednesday directed Punjab’s Home Secretary to decide on a petition filed by Aleema Khan, sister of former prime minister Imran Khan, seeking permission for meetings and medical facilities while she remains in custody, dailytimes.com.pk reported.

Justice Abher Gul heard the petition and noted that authorities have already supplied basic daily‑use items, including a bedsheet, blanket, shoes, six suits, a black bag, towel, face wash, toothbrush and shawl, according to a report presented by Assistant Advocate General Farrukh Khan Lodhi.

The court’s order places the remaining decision on Khan’s requests for meetings and medical care with the Punjab Home Secretary under applicable legal provisions.
